.catching some z's.

.one of the many great things about teaching at FA is that i have the whole week of thanksgiving OFF!.. it was great to be able to spend it with hattiejo and andrew, because his seminary schedule was the same way.. one day i had put hattiejo down for her morning nap and i went in to check on her and this is how she was sleeping.. HILARIOUS.. look closely and you will see that she has one eye open!..

:thanksgiving recap:

The morning started with me running the Gobbler Run here in Wake Forest. It was a 5k (3.1 miles)... My goal was just to cross the finish line having run the whole time considering I had just had a baby exactly 3mths prior...and I did!... I finished with the time of 26min.14sec! Praisethe Lord!!! Here are some pictures from the race. HattieJo was all snuggled and cozy!

Then we came home to watch the Macy's parade while we finished preparing the delicious spread of food. Here it all is (minus the potato salad, we forgot to put it out until we finished eating!)...After we ate, we relaxed for a bit then attempted to take some family photos at a local park... boy is it tough to get a baby to look at the camera and smile at the same time! haha.. here are a few peeks:

And if the day wasn't already packed with events, HattieJo was 3mths old that day as well. Here is her 3mth. picture with her sock monkey. She is so much bigger than it now! She weighed 13.8lbs. as well.

..BFF Lori..

Andrew has a great opportunity to be the pastor over the young professionals at the Summit, which has allowed me a GREAT chance to meet lots of great young women. I am so blessed.. they are all so fun to hang out with and share life together... one in particular is Lori.. she is amazing.. great heart, loves the Lord, and she LOVES HattieJo..while i was pregnant anytime i saw Lori at young pros or church she would always get down by my stomach and say her name over and over in all different voices... i thought hattiejo might come out thinking her name was Lori! haha.. She goes to the seminary so she came over after class one day last week just to hang out.. it was so fun... she said her and hattiejo are BFF! hahaha.. here is a picture of the two of them just a chatting!

.a walk in the park.

On Sunday Mr.Golden Sunshine finally decided to come out after a week of rain, so we went on a walk in the park! It was the park that we would go walking in at night while I was preggo, but have not gone to since HattieJo was born, so it was fun to go this time pushing the stroller! We were so excited about the nice weather. Here she is cute as can be. Her feet look huge because of the angle of the picture! haha.. But the tennis shoes are little pink converse shoes... precious! ::touchdown::

Since Andrew has been at Southeastern he has played in their intramural flag football league in the fall on Saturdays. This was his 3rd year being able to play. It has been so much fun to go on Saturdays and take HattieJo with me to root on his team, "en fuego".. i can remember the years past, seeing all the moms out there with their kids and so looking forward to the day when I could have a baby of my own to go out there with... this saturday was their championship day, it was a bit chilly, so we only went for one of their games.. here we are all bundled cheering on daddy's team!!

**HattieJo and I before the date**
Friday night Andrew took HattieJo and I out on a date! We had a great time. We went to my favorite place... Texas Roadhouse. HattieJo was wide awake looking around at all the lights and sounds. It was so fun! Thankful for a husband who wants to date his girls! Here we are after our date:

::Daddy's Little Girl::

This is the best sight EVER! Andrew works all day on Wednesdays and doesn't get home til almost six, so he is dying to see his girl when he gets here. He loves to get her out of her swing or wherever she is (even in my arms), even if she is sleeping, and just hold her! This little girl has STOLEN his heart. I love to just watch him love on her. She just looks up at him with her big blue eyes and smiles!! He always says he can't wait for her to grow up because he has so much to tell her about life! I am so thankful to be blessed with an INCREDIBLE husband that loves and serves the Lord and will instill that into the lives of our children.

Snuggly Saturday Mornings

I LOVE Saturday mornings! We just sit around and play and snuggle!!
Now that I am back at work, I so look forward to Friday afternoons when I get to come home to my sweet girl knowing that I will be with her ALL weekend... Saturday and Sunday mornings are the best (since we go to church on Saturday nights).. we stay in our pjs and just enjoy spending time together as a family. I am so thankful for the amazing husband and healthy, beautiful, little girl that the Lord has blessed me with.

::Date Night- INTERRUPTED::

Well, I was so excited all day Friday knowing we were going on a date!... So when I got home HattieJo and I got ready and were excited, only to find out that GreyFire (one of our breeding dogs) was about to have her puppies...YIKES! So we had to alter our plans... We ended up going to eat in Wake Forest and then coming home to find she had had one puppy... By 11:00pm she had had 7 more! Here is a pic of them:

::play play play::

HattieJo is LOVING her playmate these days! She will just lay on it and twist her whole body around to all her different toys... it is so cute to watch and hear her make all her sweet noises!

::Aunt Bec::

My sister had not seen HattieJo in about a month, so she twisted my dad's arm (didn't take much) into bringing her up for the day on Sunday.
Rebekah couldn't believe how much she had changed in a month.
Thanks for coming to see us Aunt Bec and Grandpa.. We MISSED you SO MUCH grandma!

Pizza and Pumpkins

On Friday night our neighbors; Nate, Maria and Naomi along with the Eggletons came over for Pizza, Pumpkins, and Pumpkin cake!
We had a great time just hanging out and carving pumpkins then we roasted the seeds, they were so yummy!
