:beach vacation part 1:

We arrived at the beach on Saturday night after church, so we went right to bed! Then on Sunday my family kept HattieJo (since she would need her morning nap) and Andrew and I went to visist one of the couples that we knew from seminary that are now serving down there. Then after lunch we enjoyed the pool, ocean, and sand(HattieJo LOVED it. She would take off towards the water as soon as we sat her down!):
After the fun time in the sun, we all showered and got cleaned up for the family pictures on the beach (another post) and for dinner we celebrated Andrew's birthday! Then we were all worn out after a delicious dinner and dessert!!

:jeggings:

"jeggings are leggings which are styled to look like tight denim jeans." -Wikipedia
When I saw these for HattieJo, I had to get them(or really Aunt Bec)! She looks so adorable in her skinny jeans.

:cheap entertainment:

HattieJo LOVES playing out on our screen porch and she LOVES playing in water. So the other day I filled up a big plastic bowl and gave her somethings to put in it to play with and she had the best time! Needless to say 20minutes later she had to have a wardrobe and diaper change! Now everytime we go out on the porch she walks over to the bowl wanting me to put water in it for her to play.

:Labor Day with the Hoppers:

We had such a GREAT Labor Day. We had been on the GO everynight since Wednesday...Here was our evening schedule:
*Wednesday-small group
*Thursday- Young Professionals
*Friday- dinner out then Young Pros game night
*Saturday- SummitRDU
*Sunday- back to SummitRDU to promote the evening campus!
WHEW!!!!.... so being able to hang out and spend time together on Monday was WONDERFUL!

We started our day by sleeping in a bit (til 7am!!). Then HattieJo and I went to Krispy Kreme to get us breakfast while Andrew walked around in the woods for a bit! HattieJo and I shared a blueberry donut and one of their Harvest Apple Spice donut! It was delicious and a great start to the day. Then HattieJo had her morning nap and I got some much needed organizing done along with the normal laundry and cleaning! After her nap we played out on the porch for a while. Then decided we would have a picnic lunch in the living room:After we played in side for a bit, we decided to go outside for a wagon ride and some swinging time on the front porch. HattieJo loves the front porch swing. She has discovered the steps out front now and wants to go up and down them, which means I must go up and down them as well. After HattieJo's (and mommy's) afternoon nap we headed over to the Thompsons for a wonderful cookout evening with lots of great friends! I am so thankful to serve alongside of these people at the Summit. What a joy!
*Cooling off with daddy:*Watching all the big kids.. she did her best to keep up with them! *HattieJo's face lights up and she squeals when she sees sweet Ellie:*After dinner, HattieJo found herself playing with the cars amongst all the little boys:*Before we could get out of the neighborhood this was HattieJo:

.daddy day.

So the other Friday was "daddy day"... as every Friday is... When I got to school that day I realized I hadn't laid any clothes out for HattieJo for the day. I always do on daddy day to ensure that she at least gets dressed in a matching outfit! I thought to myself, "surely Andrew can pick her out some clothes for the day, no big deal." So I talk to him a little after lunch and he says they are on their way home from going to Target and stopping by to visit our church's North Raleigh campus. So I asked, "Well, what is HattieJo wearing because I forgot to lay her clothes out." To which he quickly replies, "Oh, just what she had on this morning." My response is "WHAT??????? You mean to tell me that she is still in her redneck souvenir shirt that you bought her in Myrtle Beach and no pants?"..there is a slight pause "Yes she is, you didn't lay any clothes out so I didn't know what to do or where her clothes are." BLESS HIM!!!!!! So my child went all over town like this for the day: She was so stinkin' cute even though she was still in her redneck shirt and diaper! Oh the memories this girl will have of this precious time with her daddy each week. So thankful for my man that loves his little girl!

Gigi and Poppa came up from Florida to help us celebrate:Catching a quick break before getting back up and at it again:"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to HattieJo, Happy Birthday to you!""Where's your tongue?"Up under the yellow table cloth was this:My dad made this from scratch for HattieJo!!!!! I LOVE it.. its so perfect! Be on the look out in the next few days for more pictures of it. Also, under the table cloth was an adorable white rocking chair for HattieJo that matches the "big people" ones that we have! She also got a little red wagon from Gigi and Poppa. She is really enjoying going for a wagon ride to see the dogs each day!It was a FANTASTIC day. What a blessing to have our friends and families there to help us celebrate this gift of life this past year. We are so thankful for our precious little girl! HattieJo was exhausted at the end of the party and took a great nap before we headed out to church that evening!
