birthday boy

It was fun to have gigi and poppa in town on AP's actual birthday! AP loved his mornings with a bowl of cereal with just him and poppa....he LOVES to listen to his poppa tell him stories. HJ was loving all the time with her Gigi too! 

He requested blue pancakes for breakfast! (excuse his hair that needed to be cut!)

AP LOVES music, he loves to listen to it, dance to it, sing to it, and play it! He really loves when Andrew gets his guitar out and they play together. It melts my heart!

 In mid-june we found a little nest of bunnies by the horse trailer....HJ was loving the cute little things! We put them over the fence into the woods and they were still there the next day. She wanted to keep them. Our little animal lover!

  We had a pirate themed party for AP in June....He is all about some pirates!

 We had such a fun morning playing games, eating good food, and spending time with family and friends!

.it turned out to be pretty successful!. we got lots of tomatoes, squash, peppers, and okra from it throughout the summer. it was fun to do as a family!

.this boy....

...is WILD, on the go all the time, adventure seeking, sword fighting, wrestling maniac,ninja turtle loving, and STUBBORN, but boy am I ever so thankful for him! He keeps me on my toes (and my knees praying) ALL THE TIME!... He turned 3 on June 20th. He talks and communicates so well. He loves to tell a make believe story from beginning to end, he loves to be read to when he is tired, has a paci on a string that he loves, and he would eat ALL.DAY.LONG if you let him! He is NOT a fan of time out, loud noises, getting a haircut (see pictures below), and vegetables!

The week after HJ got her saddle we have an awesome friend that let us use his pony for her to start riding with. So Penny moved in the back half of our yard for a couple of weeks until we moved her to the pasture with our horse Lily. HJ has done great with her riding lessons and can even ride Penny on her own now. Our good friend David's granddaughter, Hannah is a horse lover and a great rider, so she has been giving HJ lessons each week. We are so thankful for her!
