Andrew really enjoys fishing, so since the weather has been warmer he has been itching to get out and fish. We went several nights ago across the street to our neighbors pond with no luck- it was still fun for HJ. Then last week we went to another sweet family's pond and he had a good night! It was so fun to be out there as a family. We brought a blanket, bug spray, toys, and all the fishing necessities. HJ LOVED when Andrew would catch a fish- she would want to touch it, but wouldn't take her eyes off the fish to smile for a picture. AP was all about touching the fish! Don't worry I promptly cleaned their hands after touching the fish! HJ walked around with one of the worms from the worm bag the whole time- She was so upset when it was time to go! Thankful for fun nights like these as a family.

"whats up Mr. Monkey?!"

Yes, I am writing this thinking.... what in the world.. in three short months we will be living in a new place and we will be celebrating 1 year of life with AP.. craziness!!
AP is in to EVERYTHING!!!! We joke how we could put HJ somewhere at this age and come back 30minutes later and she wouldn't have moved... not the case with AP... he isn't full on crawling yet, but so close! He will flip on his belly, get in push up position, push himself around on his belly, scoot on his bottom, and will rock back and forth, but he hasn't taken off yet. I think it is so close! He is the smiliest (if that is a word) baby EVER. The boy grins all the time. He is so content. He loves his sister. They are really interacting now! She took a toy from him the other day and he lunged back and her with a big loud grunt/yell. It was hilarious! He is eating NON stop. He has grown to like puffs and mum rice cakes. Just this week I introduced him to yogurt and he is a fan. I can say that there isn't much that he won't eat! He still likes to see me once in the night! So we are trying to work through that. He is wearing size 3 diapers and 12month clothing. We go to the doctor on Wednesday, so I will post his stats as soon as we know them! I have to add that he is quite the momma's boy.. and i LOVE it!!!!
AP- we love you and are thankful for the joy that you bring to our lives. We pray that the Lord will continue to give us wisdom as we parent you and that you would come to know Him at an early age and desire to follow and serve Him.

HattieJo and Dolly love each other! They were fast friends from the start!.
Kite flying time! Opie just tried to attack the kite! AP was enjoying himself some food while we were out!I love the weather we have been having. When I get home in the afternoons we grab a snack and head outside and stay out as long as we can before we have to get things going for dinner!

...this little boy is growing up so fast... he is like his sister and LOVES being outside, i am so glad! he will cry when we come back inside and will just reach for the door wanting to go back out...
..so is HJ.. she is speaking so well and is able to communicate her wants and needs so clearly these days, its amazing. She is a sponge when it comes to learning things. She soaks up the stories that we read to her and tell her and is able to remember them so well. She is so animated and expressive.. thankful for these 2 blessings!

:you might be a redneck if...

..you sit on the 4wheeler in the shed waiting for a mouse so that you can shoot it with your bb gun!.I love this picture below. Look in the triangle of Andrews arm and the gun at HJ peeking through!We have had what we have titled the "Hopper House Mousacre"... We noticed several weeks ago that we had mice out in our shed/carport, so Andrew set some traps with this awesome goo that atrracts them and then they get caught! In a week we had around 53 mice get caught! It was craziness!!!! HJ would get so excited each day when Andrew would get home to go out and check the traps..... did I mention she is a TRUE farm girl! So one afternoon they saw some of the mice running around and decided to try and shoot them. HJ was thrilled to be on the hunt with Andrew. This girl LOVES her daddy- it melts my heart to see how much she loves him and loves spending time with him (more to come later on their nightly farm duties!).

The other week HJ had a birthday party to go to... she was so excited as it was the first birthday party at a party place rather than a home! It was at a place with the HUGE blowup slides and other fun things! She had a blast (so did I as I had to chase her around and help her up a lot of the bigger things- it was quite the workout). Here she is before we left:
